If you support our initiative you are using a seperate signature collection system which is certified by the European Commission and the data collected there will only be used for validating your support of the initiative by your national voting commission. We embed Facebook Comments plugin to allow you to leave comment at our website using your Facebook account. We use Google Analytics to improve the website in relation to the relevance for you. With a campaign spanning all 28 countries of the European Union and support 24 official languages insights into the basic usability of our website is crucial. Google automatically collect and store certain information in their server logs which includes device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL, cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your Google Account, in accordance with their data privacy policy: 

with whom we share your data

We will share the information only with those who need to know about the information we collect. We will not share this information with third parties not related to the European Citizen Initiative.

how long we store the information

We will store the information until the European Citizen Initiative is concluded and all legal responsibilities and liabilities have been concluded. We expect this to be for maximum 5-10 years after the end of the European Citizen Initiative. Some data, especially your support of the initiative by using the online signature collection system will be only stored for a few month exceeding the end of the signature collection period. 

what rights you have on your data

Data we got from you when contacting us will be deleted immediately if it is not relevant for the European Citizen Initiative. If it is relevant and you want to correct information transferred, please send us an update using the same contact address. 

Logfile data cannot be changed or deleted for technical reasons. Google analytics insights will be deleted as soon as not relevant anymore.

when we send data to third parties

We do not intend to send data to third parties. However, for technical reasons we might use external services for spam detection or analytics of attacks on our system (if any happen).
